I had the great pleasure of being interviewed regarding a series of topics related to divorce by my esteemed colleague attorney Jill Brittle, of Brittle Family Law Group.

In the interview below, we discussed best practices for coparent communication. You can either watch here or press the “Watch on YouTube” button in the bottom left corner of the video to be directed to YouTube.

Keep the tips in mind as you practice calm, respectful, business-like communication that is clear and focused on your children. Set your intention to remain focused on your children and their needs. Remember, one of your children’s main needs is to have parents that can conduct the business of parenting without conflict.

“Remember, lower conflict is the higher order goal”

Sometimes, this can feel difficult. If you need support, consider seeking coparent coaching to facilitate the difficult conversations and learn effective skills.
