Financial Therapy

Worries about money are at an all-time high. Financial stress, wealth transfers, and life transitions that involve changes in financial status often surface deep emotional patterns related to security, identity, power, trust, and self-worth. Conflicts about finances are one of the top issues for couples and families. And money remains one of the last “not talked about” taboos. For all of these reasons, financial therapy can be helpful.

Financial therapy helps clients navigate the emotional and relational impact of money with the goal of feeling more confident, clear, and secure with your relationship to money and people you care about related to money.

Sessions focus on: how financial beliefs are formed, how money dynamics affect relationships, and how financial stress can intensify conflict, anxiety, or emotional shutdown. In therapy, we address the emotional underpinnings of financial decision-making so clients can approach money matters with greater clarity, confidence, and emotional regulation—particularly during periods of change, loss, or negotiation.

I help clients reduce money-related stress, heal their relationship to money, and reduce relationship conflicts related to money.

I specialize in the emotional, psychological and relational aspects of money, helping clients understand how financial stress, wealth, and financial change impact emotions, relationships, and decision-making—particularly in high-net-worth and financially complex situations or life transitions.

Financial Therapy is especially helpful for:

  • Women navigating divorce, or sudden financial changes
  • Couples experiencing chronic conflict around money
  • Individuals coping with financial anxiety, avoidance, or decision paralysis
  • Clients in high-asset or financially complex situations who feel emotionally overwhelmed or disempowered
  • Family businesses and / or family high net-worth wealth transfer dynamics
  • Those seeking support around boundaries, values, and identity related to money and lifestyle change

Financial Therapy can help you:
